As a licensed California contractor, we bring over 30 years of expertise, global design inspiration from traveling to nearly 90 countries, and insights from attending top professional trade shows worldwide. ModernHome1 has visited all of the trade shows listed below over 30 years and purchased exciting and unique products and design services not only for its custom post-modern colorful home, but also assisted its clients with follow-up, additional R&D, long-term warranty, insurance, and maintenance strategies for clients with traditional, mainstream, and hi-tech architectural styles.
ModernHome1 has taken successful entrepreneurs, including magician David Copperfield, to several of the below-listed trade shows, sometimes for several days with half-day periods, to see and purchase wholesale, property, and home resort products and services. Five years to design and build, ModernHome1 is the realized dream of owner Ken Rosenthal
Ken is an inventor, MIT-educated physicist, professional magician, and prolific world traveler. Ken’s inventions have been featured at Tokyo Disneyland and many international hotels and retailers.
Lifelong friends with magician David Copperfield, Ken was inspired by their shared work to bring magic and creativity to the world. In designing ModernHome1, Ken and David toured many professional trade shows, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the NAHB International Builders' Show, HD Expo, and EXHIBITORLIVE, in search of new products and creative ideas.
ModernHome1 displays Ken’s inventions and collections of breakthrough technologies, colorful LED lighting systems, magic items, and curated international art.
